Reading Is Fundamental (RIF)

Reading Is Fundamental

Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. RIF supports literacy development by providing free books for children to choose and keep, as well as encouraging them to read through motivational activities. Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. is a nationwide organization. However, a local RIF program run entirely by volunteers in your community will serve our students. This year we are pleased to provide all first and second grade students with RIF books. Students will attend three book distributions during the school year. Students select one free book as our gift at each distribution. Students who are absent on RIF Day will still receive their RIF books.
At Kimbrough teachers and staff know that reading is very important and appreciate your encouragement and involvement at home. We hope you will read to and with your children often. If you have any questions contact Marion Snell, Teacher Librarian/RIF Coordinator
